Ghee is a form of clarified butter, originated in Ancient India. Sourced from Grass-fed cows and made by gently heating organic unsalted butter until the milk solids separate from the golden liquid. Once separated the milk solids and impurities (lactose + casein) are removed. This method results in pure butterfat which retains all nutrients while keeping the delicious nutty, caramel like aroma.
Ghee's beautiful aroma, nutrient density and high smoke point makes it the ideal cooking fat for use when frying, sautéing, roasting and baking.
